WELCOME to my blog

I am thrilled you’re here!

Seriously. Sharing this piece of myself, this huge piece, is very scary. But here we are! Embracing fears and being vulnerable and whatnot. This blog is for myself first, but I do hope that at least one other person is reading it – and hopefully resonating with some of it, too. It took me a long time to believe I had something to say. I think we all do. Our experiences in this life are wholly unique, and wholly ours. Which is pretty wild, if you think about it.

I’ve been writing since I was six. The first thing I ever wrote was a book about Christmas eve that I gave to my dad as a Christmas gift – illustrated and everything! While my ultimate goal is to become an author, I figured I could channel the creative energy I have in other ways too. In most forms, writing brings me more joy than anything else. There’s a power in it for me. A way to say things I am not brave enough to say out loud. I’ve always used writing as a means of understanding the world around me and my place in it.

This platform is going to be a diary of sorts, one that is very public. I’ll write about a lot of things. Some of the posts will have a theme. Some of them will just be ramblings about nothing in particular. The words here are my own thoughts and feelings and opinions about the world I exist in, unless otherwise stated. If I write things that are offensive or weird or whatever – know they’re not meant to come off as such (well, minus the weird, I like weird). Feel free to skip the shit you don’t like and tune in to the stuff that speaks to you. I’m not everyone’s cup of tea and I won’t try to be. I curse. A LOT. I’ll probably be blunt. Maybe come off as stuck up or a know-it-all or whatever. I don’t know. I’m me. I’m so tired of trying to be anyone else.

My format will probably be one post per week. Maybe more. Definitely not less.

If you have questions about the stuff I write, just ask! I love having big conversations about big ideas with people. Unless you’re mean!

If you made it this far, you’re the best. See you next week.
